Hosting 1.24

What program are u using to host 1.24?
I want all the bugs in 1.24 to go away!

sonicnathan 1 Jan 28, 2008 01:07 PM

??? You want all the bugs gone in 1.24? Not possible.

DanZeal Jan 28, 2008 01:16 PM

but at least a few.

Caffne Jan 28, 2008 02:00 PM

There is no one person who hosts 1.24 servers. They are hosted USING 1.24. Sadly, we do not have access to the source code and therefore cannot fix bugs easily.

Grytolle Jan 28, 2008 02:32 PM

ur so pre2006, caffne..

Raven aka StL Jan 29, 2008 12:06 AM

Ur so commenting everything, Gry ;)

Ok... when you are hosting a server with 1.24
What are you using to avoid bugs and cheating?

Contol4, Force, cataclysm?

Grytolle Jan 29, 2008 08:00 AM

carrotade

DanZeal Jan 29, 2008 08:51 AM

Carrotade is not working for me. Maybe couse i´m using vista?
Going to try using xp.

Birdie Jan 29, 2008 09:00 AM

It's more like vista isn't working for you, and carrotade is working fine. :D:D

FreeFull Jan 29, 2008 09:27 AM

You can say that.

Grytolle Jan 29, 2008 09:34 AM

try running emulated for xp
carrotade and vista works fine here, eventhough the carrotade loader often says that i have the wrong verison of jj2 while i dont

Bboy Type7 Feb 1, 2008 01:23 AM

I never got TSF to work. Been trying that lately.

Dermo Feb 1, 2008 09:40 AM

just buy a copy of 1.23 and use the multiversion program so you can host it under 1.23 and 1.24er's can join.

DanZeal Feb 6, 2008 02:56 PM

Carrotade is still not working for me in vista.
I cant chat in jazz2 when carrotade is loaded. If i do jazz2 crash!
I´m using vista x64. Carrotade v1,2
Works fine in XP.

Grytolle Feb 7, 2008 02:51 AM

you need to use the alternative dll, which is very clearly mentioned in the download description for carrotade

DanZeal Feb 7, 2008 03:45 AM

works!
Thank you!

a question about carrotade...
How to start the time countdown?

Vegito Feb 10, 2008 05:54 AM

You can't with the normal carrotade. You can with 1.23+ however thats not out for the public yet.

I never doubted you, Veg. :D

Grytolle Feb 12, 2008 06:21 AM

You can with the old version of 1.23+, that's already uploaded on j2o. Use that at your own risk though. For some people it crashes a lot, for others it doesn't.

DanZeal Feb 12, 2008 06:43 AM

how do you start the countdown in 1.23+ then?
and i dont mean the /countdown (5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Go!)

For me it dosent work, but at least I get this nice chrismas theme. Your mouse thing wont work either. My computer dislikes you.

Doesn't have one

DanZeal Feb 13, 2008 11:40 PM

So there are no use for commands like:
/time
shows end game time and time left

/endtime

Raven aka StL Feb 14, 2008 12:12 AM

There's no "/timeleft" or anything.

"/time" shows how much time it is left.

But you cant start the countdown??

Raven aka StL Feb 14, 2008 12:22 AM

What countdown? You never explained. ;P

The only countdown you can initiate is for the start of the game. But that one is full of bs.

Well... try this: start carrotade and type "/time" or "/endtime 2"
then... if you can start the countdown of this "level time", tell me how u did it.

Raven aka StL Feb 14, 2008 02:27 AM

... You're making no sense whatsoever with that countdown thing.
Again, the only countdown you can initiate is when the game is stopped to start the game (5 to 1 and start!!!).
Of course there's the automated 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 when the level time is about to run out.
But after that there are no more countdowns...

EDIT: Or if I misunderstood you, then try "/autocycle on"...

DanZeal Feb 14, 2008 02:33 AM

Yes, it looks that way.
But why is the /time and /endtime existing in carrotade if u cant make a countdown to the level ending?

Edit: Yes... "/autocycle on" problem solved :)

Raven aka StL Feb 14, 2008 07:02 AM

... lol

Sometimes people's problems are too simple to solve.

DanZeal Feb 17, 2008 03:20 PM

If i am running carrotade 1.2
Is there any point of using programs like cataclysm or NeoAC ?

Grytolle Feb 17, 2008 03:25 PM

NeoAC and carrotade can't be combined. Cataclysm is worthless in either case.
