Changing ports for server

Is it possible to host two games on the same computer?
I have to change ports on one to do that.. And i dont know how.

DanZeal Feb 14, 2008 08:17 AM

and how to get hands on 1.25?

Stijn Feb 14, 2008 09:48 AM

There is no 1.25. Speeza is wrong.

Grytolle Feb 14, 2008 10:56 AM

Stijn is right.

stijn: power abuse to avoid annoying discussions

Cpp Feb 14, 2008 03:12 PM

If there is enough need, I might add this functionality to Controller 4.1.

Yes, I've hosted up to 3 games before at the same time, and getting people to join all servers at the same time.

Grytolle Feb 14, 2008 04:16 PM

this is memory adress for changing what port you host on! ENJOY!
0x4CD440

Grytolle Feb 14, 2008 04:28 PM

sidenote: the listsevrer protocol cant handle it, and the listserver lists as 10052 no matter what

hitch must have used like 3 different computers/IPs

Hitch Feb 14, 2008 07:27 PM

Did I? You tell me.

Speeza Feb 15, 2008 07:30 AM

Now hitch is the real lier here. I just hearld from someone that 1.25 was going to do that. Then badbunny said something. So sorry.

Hitch Feb 15, 2008 10:14 AM

Just giving people the fact that I succeeded in hosting more than 1 game.

DanZeal Feb 15, 2008 02:17 PM

Then take a screenshot when doing it.

master sven Feb 26, 2008 07:20 AM

How about hosting on 1.23 and TSF with TEC?

Grytolle Feb 26, 2008 07:30 AM

Then 1.23 people can't join

DanZeal Feb 27, 2008 03:29 PM

And what is TEC?

I am quite inclined to say 'junk' but...
TEC is a hack of 1.24 which allows you to join 1.23 servers, the better alternative is to just use a version switcher.

Grytolle Feb 28, 2008 05:10 PM

no, that's worse, because you need to run 2 programs then

Birdie Feb 28, 2008 06:18 PM

Is it worse because you have to run two programs, or just because you have to open them both? :l

Cpp Feb 28, 2008 08:35 PM

Technically, having two jj2 executables is worse because they occupy more disk space than just one executable plus a version switcher. ;)

Grytolle Feb 29, 2008 01:54 AM

Because it takes like 15 extra clicks

DanZeal Feb 29, 2008 11:09 AM

why not just use 1.23+ in that case?

Vegito Feb 29, 2008 02:41 PM

because it crashes a lot, its very unstable.

unless u're talking about Blurs version which isn't made public yet....

Grytolle Mar 1, 2008 03:03 AM

Also because there's no such functionality in 1.23+ :)!

Jimbob Mar 1, 2008 01:54 PM

And other people say it's crap *hints at blur to come up with a new server utility or a new version of carrotade that doesn't crash when I talk without the alternate .dll*

Grytolle Mar 1, 2008 02:15 PM

hint it's only already been done hint
