Xobim Apr 28, 2008 06:46 AM

I'm waiting for Radium to hammer the door down and start teaching bboy a few things about drawing.

As for your little Manga, I'd say it looks pretty neat. Just make sure the hair gets some shade and the neck doesn't get any longer.

I would too if it wasn't for the fact that I'm getting the nagging feeling that BBoy IS Radium.

DoubleGJ Apr 28, 2008 11:36 AM

oh I just love the 'take away the hair and get near-identical faces' manga style, don't I

Then he should continue ToU! doh...

@2·GJ, I think it is better that drawing skinny Manga beings with eyes that reflect better than discoballs and hair that's shinier than a mirror.

ToU is not a role playing, i mean it kinda has role playing support. not really though. get it?

Bboy Type7 Apr 28, 2008 11:53 PM

added a bg, more toning, etc. added a quote by my favorite male korean pop singer, Rain. It's a tribute to him. "Endless effort, endless endurance, and endless modesty". He is the most influential person of this century by TIME 100. almost becoming a manga.

Fawriel Apr 29, 2008 12:36 AM

That quote reminds me of something I read in someone's signature once.

"More modest than you'll ever be."

isn't this like a subgenre of what I described?

Radium Apr 29, 2008 04:20 PM

Faw's right, I don't think you get to brag about how modest you are.

EvilMike Apr 29, 2008 08:39 PM

"almost becoming a manga"

I do not. First try to phrase some better sentences, so I at least can find out if you're trying to be funny or not...

The most influential person of this century? NO.

Maybe you and I were describing the same stereotype manga style, but I got a different message from your description. Sorry 'bout that. :)
Bboys drawing looked decent before this update. Now it really is "remove the hair and get identical faces"...

Doubled Stephen Colbert's votes. He came first place as to be chosen the most influential person in this world now.

You make us proud, Rain!

Also:

this is a character based off of me for a manga I'm working on.

Bboy Type7 Apr 30, 2008 07:32 AM

shhh...never bite someone's quote unless you have their permission lol j/k

n00b Apr 30, 2008 10:50 AM

Voting on the internet on a site most of the world is not aware of seems to me like a very flawed way to choose "most influential person of the world". Although idiots probably just voted for him for "Azn Pridee lolz" not because he was particularly influential.

You probably mean weeaboos, but your naming works quite good too. :+

n00b Apr 30, 2008 01:02 PM

While not all idiots are weeaboos, all weeaboos are idiots. The word I used encompasses any person that for whatever reason may not be a weeaboo but still voted for the same reason, and thus works better.

Bboy Type7 Apr 30, 2008 02:09 PM

the character based off of me is also an inspiration of him in the manga.

too bad haha, Rain is the best influential person now. they have even proved it. he's way more handsome than Colbert, he can sing better than him, dance better than him, also an awesome actor (gonna be in Speed Racer 2008), philosopher, made an awesome duet with Omarion from B2k, great role model for many other asian singers, influenced asian music overall, and many more. Colbert's only known in America and some european countries for his comedy/politics, but Rain's way more popular than him in real talent.

n00b Apr 30, 2008 02:29 PM

No, they have not proved it. Like I said, using a website that A)Not everyone knows about in a world where B)Not everyone has access to the internet is a completely terrible way to determine "Most influential person EVAR!!1".

Furthermore, I'm not sure if you were aware but the contest wasn't "RAIN VS. COLBERT GO!!1" and I mostly consider a ton of the Colbert votes to come about much like Rain's - blind and mindless devotion to the person instead of considering "Is this person truly influential on me, my life, and the planet?". I'm a philosopher too and at times can be incredibly modest (I have this bad habit of selling myself short). Faw's dopey friend who was pissed when he thought Zero Suit Samus could only be played via an item could play the piano. That does not make us contenders for the most influential people in the world (which includes the bits that aren't Asia! Shocking concept, I know!)

Finally,

A manga cover just for fun. i'll probably call it the tys' adventures hahaha. y'all need to learn to say my name right. It's TYS or Type7 . you're only calling me by the name tag when you try to say my name lmao. and it sounds so weird, no offense XD

xx Peace xx

Unhit May 1, 2008 04:20 AM

i agree with n00b's videolink (!)

and: even if that vote was to be taken serious (which it imo isn't, terribly sorry), it says most influential blahblah of the year, not century.

Most of the reasons you're giving don't apply to the most influential person at all. An influential person has knowledge about a certain subject and knows how to use it well. An influential person has caused something big to happen (Karl Marx, Philip Glass & Steve Reich, Andy Warhol). Rain sounds more like an audience (-) to me. And I want to have some evidence that he has influenced asian music. The most influential person of this century in music history is Igor Stravinsky, not Rain (Or whatever his real name is)...

Furthermore, I completly agree with n00b.

I'm also making a doujin Dragon Ball manga that's a side story of the series. It's got custom dragon ball characters of my own. I can draw my own DB characters.

Am I the only one who sees this outcome of this being a rebranded Sonic fanwork?
