Forced splitscreen style options
 

When playing in a large widescreen resolution like 800x450, it's quite inconvenient to find that most levels use a horizontal split, so each player gets a resolution of about 800x225 in 2-player mode (rather than a far more sensible vertical split, giving about 400x450 to each player).


For situations like this, perhaps it would be useful to have an option to force vertical splitscreen.
If this is done, it might be useful to additionally have an option to instead force horizontal splitscreen, though I imagine this would be a far less useful feature than forcing vertical.

Or, maybe certainly sufficiently non-square resolutions should force the splitscreen axis without input from the player or the level

Yeah. tbh that would probably work way better than my way. :)
