Can't get Jazz Jackrabbit 2 to run on Linux
 

Hi!

I've attempted to install using the various Lutris scripts. Unfortunately they use an outdated version of plus that needs updated manually. I've also tried manually installing it. I have the setup files and the 1.23 patch and the plus_installer. And everything seems to work okay, but when I get to the point where I try to join an online server, I get a crash. I set the Windows version in wine to Windows XP. I'm not sure what else I can do. Attached is a pic of the crash I get.

Any ideas?

try using a virtual machine (I cannot provide OS images as per forum rules). I suggest using VirtualBox https://www.virtualbox.org/

Thanks for the response! This thread can be closed, I got it running under GE-Proton. Not sure why WINE was giving me issues but w/e.
