Tip

In the Download section of J2O, some levels have Tip right after their name. What does that mean?

Ice M A N Jan 12, 2002 04:54 PM

It means it's (supposedly) a cool download. All downloads with an average rating of 8+ have that "Tip" by it.

ElectroPiZZa Jan 12, 2002 05:30 PM

Yeah, but why "Tip"?

Trafton AT Jul 1, 2002 02:10 PM

I also have been wondering if "Tip" is an acronym for something, or I'm missing out on a new definition for it. Maybe it's a "Download Tip". But that still doesn't make sense...

Ice M A N Jul 1, 2002 02:33 PM

Even though I have nothing to do with J2o, I think it is like in "download tip" or "Tip: Download this" or something.

KRSplat Jul 1, 2002 03:01 PM

Please, don't revive topics this old.

Monolith Jul 1, 2002 09:27 PM

Tip never made any sence to me either.

Tip: Take It Please

Violet CLM Jul 2, 2002 03:33 PM

No, no, no..

Tip: This Is Popular.

Newspaz Jul 2, 2002 03:37 PM

Actually, it's a word we commonly us in Dutch to show that it's really worth it. This is probably why it never looked strange to FQuist or me, or Shadow.. or whoever ;)

If it's weird for the English speaking part of the community it probably should be replaced with something like "Cool!"

KRSplat Jul 2, 2002 03:38 PM

Uh...

Oh. ;)

Trafton AT Jul 2, 2002 07:32 PM

Totally Interesting Nothing =)

ElectroPiZZa Jul 2, 2002 07:36 PM

I do recall it being "cool" at one point or another, when the revamped download section was still under construction. However, 'Tip' just doesn't cut it, and 'cool' probably isn't the best either. Of course, they're just measly lines of text meaning high ratings, so what do I care?

Trafton AT Jul 2, 2002 07:39 PM

They should have a checkmark before the name.

Violet CLM Jul 3, 2002 01:04 AM

Newspaz Jul 10, 2002 08:38 AM

I think the word "Good" covers it.

Trafton AT Jul 10, 2002 08:45 AM

GOOD = Great, Original Object Download :)

Spiffy is an even better option ;-)

Unfortunate Grammatical Hazards.

Trafton AT Jul 11, 2002 01:34 PM

Superb professional level, Etcetera. Not Dismal Every Run, Interestingly Fun, Exceptional Roasting Or Unaggrevating Stuff.

Nothing wrong with the grammer. While "Superb professional level, etcetera." is sketchy, it is proper. Me have good grammer. Unknown Rabbit WRONG!!! :D

Violet CLM Jul 11, 2002 10:31 PM

"Not Dismal Every Run" is iffy, too, and I count that as a hazard.
