IP adress
Hello.
I really want to know how to get my IP, I'm running under Windows XP and I can't find out, help! Blimp. |
|
Open a command prompt and type in: ipconfig
|
ipconfig is only useful if you aren't behind a router. For an indirect connection, ipconfig only gives you your local IP address.
|
Start, Run, type 'Winipcfg' and press 'Ok'.
HIGHLY NOT RECOMENDED TO GIVE OUT you can get hacked throguh it. |
He can't use winipcfg.. he said he has XP which doesn't have that (though there is a clone you can download and rename to winipcfg)..
|
K, thanx guys I know enough.

You can get the Ip of who is hosting with xjj2

If you are on a dial up connection you will have a diffrent IP address each time you connect, if you have a broadband connection chances are it will always be the same or change ever few months.
