Anticrash 4.3 - what features do YOU want?
Anticrash 4.x is underway, and provides complete laser protection, LOADS of bug fixes, and a system tray menu. What I need to know now is this: would you people like it to do more than just crash-proof the laser? For example, should it 'anti-crash' some other part of the game? Let me know, and you will get credit if the idea is implemented. Remember, nothing too complicated. I am not making a 1.25 patch here, heheh.

If you ask Elrick, he would sure ask same as me:
Server crashes most cuz of downloading people when other people chat =p Is that posible to anti? ;P |
Erm...I dunno...the only major crashes I've experienced are from shields, and some server glitches when people are downloading. And I don't get AV errors, just a little 'JJ2 has crashed' message box. Thank you Windows XP. :D

so it auto kicks who is using the lazer/laser shield.

Can't it be fixed by altering the in-memory values/position of the flags?
|
I thought I heard that you could put a border of tiles around the edge of the level to fix that bug.

Hm...thats a rather good idea Quisty...Black Ninja, what do you think? |
it's a great idea. I'll try and do some memory searching.....but i need more an in-depth explanation, cuz i dont get it. ;p
|
Well, the reason you can't pick up items that've fallen in to the edges, or why you can do that little tactic Krezack does to avoid being shot sometimes (won't say, don't like it ;P) is because basically, it sorta doesn't register anymore (or something, someone back me up here ;)). So basically, with flags, the position sorta messes up when they touch the edges. SO I THINK what he's saying is changing the memory positions of the flags so it's in the right place or something...ask someone with a bit more knowledge about that. ;P
|
Its not cheating ;) But then, I could say the same about shields. Heh.
