I have Windows 98, and sometimes my computer won't play sound for certain programs. I have run DXDIAG and it tells me that there's a generic failure with creating sound on my sound card. My driver is MSSNDSYS.VXD. What do I do?

You might want to reload yous sound drivers (if you have the specific ones for your sound card). You might also want to try to reinstall DirectX.. |
You might also want to buy a new sound card. ;P
You shouldn't need one anyway, anyone with any respectable music needs would be listening to the radio anyway. ;P |
I'll try to help. You might try unistalling your sound card driver and reinstall it. Or your driver may be to old.
|
First of all before you do anything.
- Know youre soundcart - Then go to the webpage of the builder - Download the latetest drivers - Remove youre old drivers - Reinstall and reboot IF it doesn't work then email youre builder. |
Maybe is not compatible with DirectX
You should try to get the latest drivers of your sound card If u don't know the webpage of your card's maker try going to: http://www.driverguide.com |
You can try searching for you latest driver on this website:www.windrivers.com/
