Project Cataclysm 2
 

I think I'll slowly start to work on the next version of my greatest program. Those who don't know what project Cataclysm is can download version 1.1 here:

And now I ask...
What do YOU people wish to see in project Cataclysm 2? Got any ideas/suggestions? Post here. I'll try to make as most as possible.

Some of my ideas:
-PowerGib (Like instagib but you need to do 2 hearts damage to roast)
-Plugins (after Cata 2 is finished we will still be able to add new features. This looks like a hard one)

i used cataclysm only for instagib :P

idea:

directly kick/ban a player when he uses a programm for jj2{on jj2}

that powergib doesnt sound good{bad idea dont do it or do them both}

Something like a warning text when somebody cheats.

what is a instagib?

Well just include something which can decide how any hearts everyone has, in fact try to put a NON hearts function(Can you try to make more hearts then 5?) Also a option if people can use carrots or not to get more hearts (if possible). And errr... a function to block laser shields and a Ban funtion, like when someone gets kicked and he comes back and he does something stupid again he gets banned or after 2 times kicking he gets banned. And something more if its possible:
A option which wont allows cheat programs like: Gamehack, Ultrawarp 1/2, Megawarp, TSF warp etc. I know you will say:"but the program wont able to kick people which use programs which are released AFTER the program script was done with the current cheat programs", but isnt it possible to add a Update on the program so when a new Cheat Program is released You automaticly let the program Update it. Hmm that sounds a bit diccicult. And uhm...also at the cheaters list put the IP's of them of the cheaters. Another option: Dont let ppl allow to come in your server which used a program like Jazztool or Xjj2to go in, without filling in the pass. And eh a option for No Cloning. Well this sounds all so difficult... I hope ya can give it a try.

I don't think it's possible, but could you make sth avoiding megawarp?

Another thing: it's impossible to deactivate the kick-/ban- function if somebody cheats. You should be able to deactivate this, to warn ppl etc...

XP Compatibility
Someting like a David vs Goliath mode: One \player with 5 hearts vs two with one heart

That's all I can think of right now.

- Directly kick/ban for using a program? What if it is a good non-cheating program?
- Powergib is a type of Instagib. I imagined it to choose between instagib (1 heart), powergib (2 hearts) and invulnerability (5 hearts)
-Yea. Maybe a warning before kicking.

- You mean to choose how many hearts each player has? No. Wouldn't be fair. I'll make the instagib and other functions as mentioned above.
- A game mode with more than 5 hearts? It would be too boring.
- Hmm a "No Health" function? Maybe.
- Anti-laser shield is already in Cata 1 xcept it's not visible (and not working?)
- Kick and then ban? Good idea.
- An option to deny players which have programs running like Gamehack? You expect me to create [CSHP]? Too complicated for now, heh.
- To update cheating programs? Doh, same as above :P
- An IP list, good idea.
- To deny players who didn't enter a password? Sounds difficult but I think it is possible.
- No cloning? Okay. But how should I know which one is the real person? Maybe a little cataclysm control over jj2 chat.

- Anti-warping? Very difficult.
- More functions to perform when a cheater is detected? Sure.

- XP Support. As soon as I find out how.
- Team health, number of players? Let's just leave this for later time (when plugins come in place).

BTW How's about kick/ban voting or level/count/game mode voting?

Just do an IP checker.

IP-checker...couldn't there be problems with firewalls or routers, i.e. if 2 or 3 people use the same router... (well, I dunno really...)

If you're a good programmer only half are impossible. About that IP checker... it wouldn't be reliable enough since the prog wouldn't know which person to kick - which one is the right one. That's why I thought of an idea like kick/ban player voting.

Yes, I think a 3rd version of Cataclysm would be a good idea. But only if it has got new stuff in it or at least some bug fixes. Make the instagib better by, if possible, automatically taking away carrots and/or powerups.

Its a 2rd version WR ;) O yeah Overlord please make a function for making more hearts then 5, It always can be handy...huh. And eeh... maybe if you dont mind put a no 'weapon change' option in it. Also there is a possibility in Cataclysm to disable guns, but can you try to put a option to disable the PowerUps of them. Ok thats all. :) If you would make such a program it will be totally worth a 10!

You both still have a lot of time to refine your pronunciation. A key motivational tip would be the simple reason of spiting your teacher.
