Do you think you'll be still playing this game?

Fawriel Jul 14, 2002 11:49 AM

Violet CLM Jul 14, 2002 01:46 PM

MaGoo Jul 14, 2002 02:43 PM

Yes, yes I will.

StevieNera aka Sp4z00 Jul 14, 2002 03:35 PM

The JJ2 community is still alive after this long isnt it? Ofcourse we'll still be here at least five years from now ;)

EvilMike Jul 14, 2002 03:39 PM

5, unlikely. 10, definately not.

Newspaz Jul 14, 2002 03:53 PM

I think I'll stay on. But it'd be more like playing once each week/month. I probably won't be as active on this board as I was before. We'll probably have a monthly play each month by then ;-)

atesoRJOL Jul 14, 2002 04:57 PM

I will play for atleast 5 more years as long as I am not the only one..

KRSplat Jul 14, 2002 05:38 PM

I plan to stay on JJ2 for the rest of my life.

Trafton AT Jul 14, 2002 05:49 PM

I was just thinking about this the other day. If one other person also plays, I will play. If no-one plays...well...it's hard to play without anyone else playing. You get the idea.

Haha, funny piccies Krezack.

As for me, 5 years, I think so, 10 years, maybe.

SoulFirE Jul 15, 2002 04:05 AM

When I'm not the only one, I will be playing/making tilesets/posting/reviewing!

RockyR Jul 15, 2002 07:41 AM

Extremely doubtful - only if i had it on a computer and i decided to try and play online, but i don't know why I'd want to this long from now.
I don't think anyone else would be on either. . .

Stuff is good

ElectroPiZZa Jul 15, 2002 09:53 AM

No.

Fawriel Jul 15, 2002 09:58 AM

I want the piccies too!!;)
Like I said,it's no use playing a game if you're all alone with it!
So don't you dare stopping!:(

Flint LP Jul 15, 2002 10:47 AM

Considering the fact that Agent Megumi is 54 today lol:p
and she still plays, shuldn't we all ?

Tik Jul 15, 2002 08:26 PM

I probably will not.

Another Jazz 2 fan Jul 15, 2002 10:57 PM

I will play JJ2 for as long as computers are compatible with it.

However, I will probably play less and less over the years... but I will come back every now and then!

And I'll be in this community till the day it dies!

Michael Jul 16, 2002 11:02 AM

Yet alone I don't play much, it's for all you guys I like JJ2 n.n

Speedy Jul 16, 2002 11:57 AM

Maybe.

Talec Jul 20, 2002 09:18 AM

Mostly what AJ2f said... Like a bunch of other games on this computer, I'll always come back to it occasionally as long as computers are compatable.

MoonBlazE Jul 20, 2002 09:34 AM

I'll try work for Epic, trying getting more in Jazz Jackrabbit 2 ect.
My furuture is in design furry games ect. :)
That's my dream.

DarkShadow Jul 20, 2002 10:45 AM

No.

I don't think so.

In 5-10 years Windows \/-(\/) ;) won't support Jazz Jackrabbit 2.
IMHO

Aiko Jul 22, 2002 01:34 AM

What AJ2f said, basically. It's all about the compatibility.

It depends on many factors, on which i don't have any influence. Will JJ2 run under future Windows versions? Will it run under sixth or seventh generation Pentiums? Or will Win98/ME run with these new processors? Will future network modes be compatible with the one used in JJ2?
Way too many questions too say something for sure here.
As for other factors, like my so-called "real life" (how i do at university, for example), they will definitely determine the *amount of time* i can spend with "useless" stuff like J2, but they will *never* keep me from playing. Trust me :)

So, *if* everything will be compatible, i will definitely be playing once in a while and check the websites, like the last four years. It's an awesome 2d-side-scroller :)

Super Saiyan Jul 22, 2002 02:16 AM

he is so darn right :p

FQuist Jul 22, 2002 04:27 AM

I doubt I'd be there.

Batty Buddy Jul 22, 2002 07:03 AM

A little monolouge, skip if you wanna KEEP your braincells

Que Passa!!!!

Well, I currently don't play Jazz as much as I did before. But heres the way I think about it;

Currently the gameing industry is making cell-shaded 3D games, and games that are so violent that they disgust me (Example; Grand Theft Auto) while, 2D games are seen as unrealistic (I say, if your trying to get realism, turn off the game and get a life- Oh GOD- I'm starting to sound like my MOTHER in this... I play unrealistic games for the same reason I watch unrealistic movies- they are both cool.)
But as you know, fads come and go, then return- heck, A couple of months ago, I saw an icon from my childhood being sold to the next generation: My Pet Monster was one of the coolest plushtoys I ever saw. Just last week, I found out that Maya the Bee(An old kiddy book/cartoon I liked- may have been the cause of my fasination with insects.) has made BOTH a game boy advenced game AND a game boy color game (Sadly, both are only available in Europe, or I would have bought them.).
And what have Game Boy advanced games mostly consisted of? OLD SNES AND NES GAMES. Seriously, do you think the 3 stooges game was designed this decade? They just took the same code, and added sounds.
Where am I getting at? Well, when the people start noticing that all 3D games are looking the same(Not to say that they all do now, but they will eventually- mark my word, especially with this current thing in which 'all games must be inventive and cover new teritory'. Heck, we never get to explore the territory we're already in.) where will they flock? 2D games. All the classics like Maui Mallard, Commander Keen, the boy and his blob, Aero the Acrobat,
And yes- Jazz Jackrabbit.
