Wow, after hours and hours-

Like it or die. *laughs to herself*

Read the description.

Thanks to Nemesis (as always) and Falkon, who probably won't come here to see it, lol.

Nemesis Nov 4, 2002 03:11 AM

You've already heard my thoughts.

'Tis professional like! :)

MoonBlazE Nov 4, 2002 03:57 AM

Wildie's art is amazing, I didn't saw anything better. Great job. :-)

FreeLance Nov 4, 2002 06:46 AM

Cool. Who is she?

Llewellyn is a cool name. Very welsh.

Nemesis Nov 4, 2002 01:13 PM

'Tis Llewellyn. I dunno, Wild, can I take credit for the name? :)

Wild Angel Nov 4, 2002 02:22 PM

Of course. ^-^

Violet CLM Nov 4, 2002 02:23 PM

I expected a red dragon.

Batty Buddy Nov 4, 2002 02:55 PM

Que Passa!!!!

I like it: I am spared from an untimely death!

You just keep getting better and better, Wildy...

Wild Angel Nov 4, 2002 03:21 PM

Unknown: Sometime I plan to do a red dragon of sorts. Atleast a dragon. I found an old sketch of one on my hard drive last night, lol.

Batty: Thankies. ^-^

`Wildie

FreeLance Nov 4, 2002 04:36 PM

The Red Dragon of Cymru?

Wild Angel Nov 4, 2002 04:37 PM

No.. *digs around for some dragon picture on her harddrive that reminds her of someone she once knew* ;p

`Wildie

FreeLance Nov 4, 2002 04:52 PM

Do you know what Cymru is?

Kaz Nov 4, 2002 05:51 PM

Hmm, the only critics I have are IMO and may not even be valid to professionals. (The reason I don't use Moz is becuase there isn't enough to complain about ^^).

1)The lower part of the cheek looks... _? I don't know...
2) The eyelashes needs clarification of some sort becusae it looks like her right eye has a black eyelid.
3) Her cheek is too huge or it could just be an illusion.

Wildie, there's only one difference between a photograph of this woman and your airbrush portrait...

Your's looks better :p .

FreeLance Nov 4, 2002 06:03 PM

Amen to the cheek thing, but I think that's just the way it looks cos of the angle.

Wild Angel Nov 4, 2002 07:20 PM

Eyelashes seem to be so difficult, I dunno why! You think, okay, get a 1 pixel brush and just sweep them in. Then they look like she had a bad episode with the mascara.

And yeah, it's the angle she's at. I sort of thought about that, but I've been looking at that picture too much.

Captain Spam Nov 4, 2002 07:53 PM

I dunno, looks good to me. Very realistic. I like. :-)

Unhit Nov 5, 2002 12:28 PM

How is it possible to paint something like this?

Kaz Nov 5, 2002 03:47 PM

Photoshop 7.1>Filter>Beta testing filters>Godly "picture" for framing people.

Well, you sit on your butt for 7 hours, sketch out the basic stuff. Come back after you take time to eat and extract your butt from the chair, sit back down, work. Sleep. Work. Sleep. Work. Sleep. Perfect. Sleep. Work, eat, extract bum from chair... finish.

Enough said.

Then go outside and let that bright yellow ball restore you from your "living zombie" state... /\:p/\

Still, like I said before, the results seem more then worth the effort.

Wild Angel Nov 7, 2002 04:13 PM

I find jezebel the very best. She's my idol (http://www.jezebel.deviantart.com/) art wise. I worship her, heh. Check her art out. It's incredible.

Let's not forget, lots of time as well as skill. ^.-

`Wildie

Batty Buddy Nov 7, 2002 04:21 PM

Que Passa!!!!

I like her work too... Between the two of you, you put all three of MY artistic idols artwork to shame...
Course, one of my artistic idols mostly did childrens books, another did silent, yet violent, comics, and the last created a cat that couldn't catch a mouse to save his life... /\:lol:/\

Wild Angel Nov 7, 2002 05:03 PM

I have a huge list of deviants that are my idols.

Jezebel
Assiah (THE best anime I've EVER seen sketched)
alkmenel (awesome fantasy sketches)
enayla

Wildie, ICQ. Answer as fast as possible please :)...

MaGoo Nov 11, 2002 07:32 PM

*Wonders* Can Wildie draw a stick man?

Wild Angel Nov 11, 2002 09:58 PM

I can draw a stick man, but like trying to have messy cursive handwritting, it's difficult. o.0;

`Wildie

Fawriel Nov 11, 2002 10:13 PM

Whoo...hm,I like your art better than Jezebel's,Wildie!^_~

MY idol's are Noogy and Stephanie Dobos aka Kayikoni...
I know her art isn't nearly as good as those others you've mentioned, but I won't even DARE get THAT good idols...
Makes me feel like some lil nothing under the giant foot of eternity...XD
And she draws the kewlest furries!:D

Batty Buddy Nov 11, 2002 10:24 PM

Que Passa!!!!

Would you believe that one time when I drew a stickman, I in fact gave him a lot of detail, and he ended up looking almost 3D? Thats how wierd I am.

Oh, and since we're naming heros: Mine are(In order of their influance in me)
Ed Emberly (The guy who's books taught me to see the world in simple shapes.)
Antonio Prohias (The cold war is over, but the lukewarm war rages on.)
Jacob Lawrence (My grandma knew the guy personally.)
William Hanna/Joe Barbara (Cause Hanna Barbara is just plain cool.)
And Frank Brunner (THIS guy's work is AMAZING... I could never emulate it, but I can still idolise it, right?)

As for NON famous people who I like, practically anyone with a warped way of looking at things, and a sense of humor is worth looking up to.

Wild Angel Nov 11, 2002 11:17 PM

I love Jezebel's stuff.

She makes excellent use of the gaussian blur.

Ugh, one truly time consuming factor- in that picture there are about, eh, fifty layers. Heh... it's not so simple as just blobbing colour, smuding it around, and saying it looks good like god. ;p

I guess I have idols like them because I want to be good or better than them, lol. I look up to them and respect them because this isn't easy work like some think. It's very time and patience consuming.

I feel small and stupid at times, hai. But it just makes me want to be better? If that makes any sense.

And now I feel really stupid, I haven't heard of many of the people you mentioned, Batty. *blushes n' stuff*

I want to draw figures, so I'm going to work alot on my next deviation, which I have a very simple sketch of. An elf in a crimson dress with simple silver hair infront of a window. >.>; The sketch was originally a practice with cloth and the way it falls. Thank god for books. Without them, I'd be lost.

WILDIE! ICQ! Fast!

Wild Angel Nov 11, 2002 11:26 PM

And speaking of which, I need to fix my sucky sig picture. The eye looks flat and I've thought that for some time. I just haven't gotten my lazy bum up from bed and worked on it.

Since I'm bored I might as well type long posts...

Alkmenel, he's so cool. He's very modest with his art, which I find so great compared to mine. I look at mine as crap of the month. I'm still learning and I've only been doing what I do for a year. He spends days on his, and those are sketches. I look upon his art with amazement, I'd never be able to do that. Not days. Not one sketch. I spend weeks on my stuff, but that's not sketches. I lose patience and try hard and fast to get it done with sketches. Alkmenel thinks I'm good (yes, we talk regularly, heh) but I still say he's so much better...

I've never talked to Jezebel. 0.o; She seems very modest and a very cool person, though. Her art is so realistic, too.

When I was chatting with Assiah, she has to be one of the coolest anime artist to grace the world of DevART. If you think it sucks, being those are pencil drawn sketches (I asked her what program she used to get such clean, fluent lines once. lol... she told me she did them by hand and it annoyed her art teacher. My god it makes me respect her 10x more. I tried to do what she does, but I need something on my wrist so the GD lead doesn't smudge all over the page.

Anyways, that concludes my artist overview of the day.

I'm getting the strange feeling nobody ever notices me!='

Wild Angel Nov 12, 2002 12:00 AM

Lol, I do notice you. I just posted that at the same time you posted yours. >.>;

See, for some reason, I don't like furries as much as everything else. One more reason I refuse to comment on them. That's all. *shrugs casually* Don't bash me for it, that's just my opinion. You hold yours.

I believe some furry art can be very well thought and artistic, though. Until then, rock on, dudes.

Fawriel Nov 12, 2002 12:05 AM

And hand me your ICQ#!:D

(Btw,as long as I'm not mistaken you are 13!!!!
If you compare your stuff to that of others considering age...man,you seem to me like one of the Top10 best artists on the world!^_^;; *feels small and puny with his ridiculous small-kids-going-to-kindergarten-stuff*;.; )

Wild Angel Nov 12, 2002 12:08 AM

It all takes practice, sweetie. All practice. I've been drawing since I was old enough to hold a pencil in my hand against paper. I'm also taking serious art lessons on things, but my head is also always in books, soaking up knowledge as usual.

My ICQ number I can never remember, try looking in my profile. Heh..

*crawls back to her too-gothic-for-the-jcf sketch. o.0*
