The music from JJ1

As mentioned in another post, i've got the Jazz 1 cd. Is there any way to extract the - in my opinion great - music to my hard drive from it ? Since i don't get the game to run it. I think they are PSM files and want to have them converted to mp3. If there is such a program, let me know.

What you need to do, is convert PSMs into MODs and then the MODs into MP3s.
Or you can wait until I find the url to Monolith's music archive that already has the songs in mp3
EDIT- You can find them here:

Don't forget the "Secret" (Deserto's Secret Level) song placed in the Index of Monolith's page.

Also check my sorted/arranged Jazz Jackrabbit Soundtrack page (Just for knowledge )

What bugs me about the complete list is that the Holiday Hare 94 music is before the Lost Episodes music. The holiday music would feel like a intteruption between the 'normal' level music.

But Holiday Hare '94 released before the CD version (with the Lost Episodes).

That conversion is done incorrectly: there's a correctly converted .it version of it somewhere on the site.

ah, here it is: Deserto Secret music

The .s3m has the same problems as the original .psm: samples are either not played, or played incorrectly.

PSM doesn't play samples correctly? Does this mean the in game music is incorrect?

This means that when you open a PSM file in Modplug Tracker which automatically converts it to S3M, some data is converted wrong. The original file is not harmed, but if you listen to this S3M some notes and samples won't stay the same.

Ah. I'd noticed that; is there any way around it?
