On all eight sides by corpses, I said. When I said that, I meant that there has to be a corpse literally N, NW, W, SW, S, SE, E, and NE of him or the place he wants to go to go there. And corpses are quite literally more impenetrable then the edge of the map- he can teleport through the edge of the map, though not into it.

How can he go through it without first going into it?
If you knew, you should've told me that before I posted, because everything I do is based on what I've read here and in the strategy thread, and this IS a team effort. Not letting people know all the information available is not nice.

Would it help you to know that in engine terms, teleportation is infinate movement points and an ability to walk through walls and the borders of the map (but not corpses), but not end your turn or attack when in them? Because, really, I have no clue what you are talking about by now.

There is no practical difference between teleportation and infinate speed+walking through walls. I failed (and still fail) to see how knowing how it was done would change your analysis.

Tell me one situation where being able to appear in any empty square that isn't surrounded on all 8 sides by corpses or people allows you to go different places from being able to walk through walls and the borders of the map.

In fact, let me look at earlier maps and show you...
Let us please draw our attention to post 1289. Look around Fooruman. The square SE of him has several corpseless squares next to it. Check. By what I told you, Solstice should be able to appear next to Fooruman.
Let's look at it the technical way. Solstice could go NW NE E E SE SW to get next to Fooruman. Check. By what I just told you, Solstice should be able to appear next to Fooruman.

Let us please draw our attention to Rad's most recent post. Let us say for some reason Solstice wants to go to the square SW of ICE HYDRA. There is a corpseless square N of there. Check. Now, engine-wise, Solstice could go NE NW W W SW S S. Check.

Oh, and I am aware there are a few situations where the two don't work exactly the same, but those involve large numbers of people just happening to die in a 4 corpse by 4 corpse hollow square. There aren't enough people in this battle for that to happen without the battle ending.

Risp is overcomplicating it. Teleportation means you magically disappear and appear somewhere else and kill people. The fact that teleportation TECHNICALLY works by giving him infinite movement and the ability to go through walls/map sides is not important, since the fully-surrounded thing is likey to never happen and if it does he'll probably get clobbered anyway. Though personally I think "surrounded on all 8 sides by people" is fairly self-explanatory.

If you control most the field and one or two enemies are packed away in a corner somewhere (like the Unfooruman battle) I'd count that as a victory.
