I forgot about my battle wounds and my odd ramblings about European voices pretty quickly. "Hah, YEAH! Did you see me blow that tree up? I should get to kill the big, powerful guys more often."

About an hour passed while Faw, and soon Fooruman, did their healer thing. L33tz4n was thanking the Enchantresphere for some reason, and Furious was standing on buildings trying to strike Superman-esque poses. I decided, oddly enough, to ask someone what the hell was going on.
"Ultimate Evil," I addressed the old woman with a battleaxe.
"LESSER EVIL," she responded. This was the biggest non-sexual compliment I had ever gotten in my life.
"What happened?"
"THE UNDIABOLICAL DREADLORD BLACKRAPTOR AND/OR ONE OR MULTIPLE OF HIS MINIONS, LACKEYS, OR SERVANTS FROZE PLACESPOT AND SUMMONED HIDEOUSLY UN-EVIL ICE CREATURES, ALONG WITH RESURRECTING SOLSTICE OF ANTIFOO ISLAND. I had met this one person previously, and killed him (with some help from Furious the Monkeyboy). Funny how that works. Not wanting to ever hear the name Blackraptor again, and if possible prove he wasn't real once and for all, I made a proposal. "So, someone should go defeat this Blackraptor, right?"
"MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA."
I scowled. "I'm going and you can come with me or not."
She went completely silent and looked shocked. "ERR... onesecond, GROUP HUDDLE," she called to Sam, Fooruman, and Furious. She tromped off through the snow, and the four of them gathered together and discussed something or other. They all returned.
Sam spoke this time. "I'm sorry, Ms. Araches. Blackraptor's attacks have been more frequent as of late. We can't leave the innocent people of Placespot and Ubermegasuper... whatever... undefended."
I briedly considered wrapping my arms around him and asking "Pleeaase?" as seductively as possible. Luckily, though, Fooruman continued where Sam left off.
"Though, by the POWERS INVESTED IN ME, four mans are kind of overkill in defense. We could spare one half to one person-"
I suddenly landed face-first in the cold, wet snow. Uberbob had kicked me over. "Wait! Important decision!" he cried. "We can't have educated people making this one!"

I say Fooruman. If people would stop treating him like a battering ram he would be immensely useful.

Agreed. Grandma might be helpful in a pinch, but her single movement point really hurts her versatility. Fooruman has a fantastic array of useful spells combined with decent stats.

Furious: High Strenght, more movement then Conquista, but Immune to magic and basically all physical combat.
Sam: Helped us win last battle with Manaflare, but otherwise he's mostly a team player and not too great on his own.
Conquista: Hellfishy is currently our most powerful spell in our arsenal damage wise that inflicts all the damage in one turn (not counting spells like Foshizzle which damage depends on certain variables), and her attack is nearly as much as that of Furious, but her movement point (1) really brings her down, and she has only two spells, both of which are damage inflicting (no boosting/raising or whatever)
Fooruman: Has Raise, Heal, Foshizzle (which can deal a lot of damage; more than hellfishy, if cast at the right time, and other useful spells. Currently, I'm also leaning towards Fooruman because he has both spells that inflict damage and that help the party making him more of a 'diverse' character.

Right now, I think it's pretty much unanimous that Fooruman will be the one picked, though I suggest waiting for more people (White Rabbit, for example) to reply to this before making the final decision.

Question: Can you switch the characters you pick? (ex. Pick Scholar Sam, but then return to wherever later on and switch him for Fooruman if you find that he's not as effective in situations)

Heh, Sam's Manaflare wasn't even used by us. We didn't use a single spell twice but we wouldn't have won without Unload Mana.

It depends on what kind of battles we need to fight in the future and against what kinds of enemies, but I think Fooruman is useful in most situations. Unless we are never going to encounter Dispel again?

EDIT: And I'm sure that Radium mentioned that Araches was Uberbob's lesbian girlfriend once, in some Art Forum thread.

There's no need to worry about whether we're going to pick Fooruman. Nobody except me seems to even consider the others to be worth choosing. =P

That's not true because I am thinking that Fooruman is a more entertaining person than Sam, so we would have a more interesting character to read about while we're not fighting. Sam has also been instrumental in the 3rd and 5th battles (more so than Fooruman) but we can easily learn how to live without either.

Sam's spells has helped so much more but from experience (not logic), Manaflare is pretty useless. I just love Foshzzle and Ramming speed. Fooruman.

The Snowball of Death was something I made up to slow you guys down while Rad and Risp were still testing the upcoming battle. I had no idea who the next battle was with, so I just decided that the SoD was being pushed by the mysterious bad guy. Solstice or one of his minions was responsible for that little plot hole device.
