Um, Pako when Jazz falls he doesnt automatically use the copter ears.
I think thats the only flaw until the sprite editor comes about.

Yeah, but a rooster does shake its wings when falling, no? And nope, we cant change controls with the sprite editor. The point is what PK2 events are called sprites. BUT this game can be easily modded because the sprites are archived in BMPs.

I meant the fact that Lori is the size of a midget and Jazz magically thins himself as flaws that can be fixed via sprite editor
EDIT-And jazz is a rabbit, not a rooster sir.

Ok, but remember: the sprites arent sprites, are events. (Lori is on the place of the midget, and Spaz will be on chicken place)

Yes, but the point is what the game before was about a rooster.

Wrong. Correction here:
Quote:
Another Jazz = mod made in a game about stupid rooster thing
1.25 == experimental patch not in progress which is located here
Better
EDIT=Oh, and remember what:
1.) I worked REALLY hard on this mod.
2.) Its the first time what i mod something. (And by the way it is going, the last)
3.) This is the only 2D *ACTIVE* JJ2 mod on this community.

Thanks for calling the Janne work "stupid rooster game", you probably made him sad.

Okay, so let's revive this project (and thus this thread).

I've just moved the 'Fixes & Features' file in an iframe on page 4 because the old link was very outdated.

Maybe a little bit weird for a seemingly dead project, but a small 'progress' report:

AFAIK nowhere on this thread it's mentioned that the 1.25/Jazz2v2 project changed into the RRR project to get rid of legal problems and make it completely our own. You'll probably remember the sentence "Bored of bunnies? RRR: TLS coming soon" in our (=Jam and I) signatures. It would not be freeware and on the RRf you could win a free copy by guessing the meaning of RRR and another copy by guessing the meaning of TLS.

Well, I must admit that the RRR project never became anything more than almost a megabyte of plain .txt-concepts (still growing, I keep adding ideas) and a program that was, in one word, far from anything you could call a 'game'. We had a few people willing to make sprites, but it never became anything.

Then, for some reason I don't remember, the programming stopped and stuff went silent. Although I'm still adding ideas to the concepts, you could say that this project has died, no-one else was working on it. And in modern times you can revive dead things (just say you can ;p). I've been looking for a programmer for a few weeks but free progammers (I wanted it to be freeware, as I doubted it would ever become anything worth a place in stores) are hard to find nowadays. But then, just a few days ago, I remembered this thread and thought: let's just revive it and see if there is anyone willing to help making RRR after over 17 months of silence.

As there is nothing to win anymore, RRR: TLS stands for Real Robot Resurrection: The Living Secret. This title allowed me to make up an interesting story which I'm not going to tell here. The gameplay should be more or less the same as JJ2, but the theme will be enterely different: robots (and now don't say "we have Battery Check", f00lz).

I'm not going to give too many details in here, but if you got any questions about anything of the game, you may ask. I just hope to find a few people willing to help bring this to life.

Gamemaker? Well I know a little about that. I' could help with level design.

(This was posted on the first page so if I mist anything important then please ignore this.)

In fact, you missed 5 pages which are hopefully enough to make clear that Gamemaker is completely not suitable for making a game like this. RRR was being made in MF.

I am working on a JJ2-style (but more powerful) engine in MMF that is intended to be pretty modifiable so MMF users can create pretty much any sort of game they want with the basic tile/mask/layer structure in place, and users can use a level editor rather than having to own MMF or something. Am I to understand it that you have some experience in the program yourself, or do you handle ideas only?

I handle ideas only... I don't even have MMF myself I prefer making tiny programs in Visual Basic, tho my knowledge of it is embarrassing.
