I don't think kicking the gem would be any better than picking it up.

I never said anything about U's telekinesis. I'd be careful, though. Shuri dosn't like dying.

Destroying the gem with a spell is not using telekinesis.

edit: typo'd

once again edit: Nevermind, I guess you were talking to Rad.

I don't know it for a fact, but I'd assume that the gems are the same immortal ice as the floor and spikes and walls.

edit: Also check everyone's inventory, and wonder if the carving (which I will post again for the slower people) is the key:

Somewhere else where Shuri will get impaled for picking up important-looking gems, probably.

edit: Oh, and add EVERYONE'S pants (not just Shuri's) to the thirdnotestrudel. If they have pants.

Actually, Dev disappeared or something. Risp and I were debating updating ourselves, but decided to wait a bit and see if he came back.

I started trying to think of other ways to get the gems out of the room. "I'm going to try kicking it out," I explained to the party.
"I don't think that's a good idea, Shur. We tried something like that alr-" Fawriel began, but was cut off by Araches.
"Girl, that idea is redarded."
Despite their criticisms of my idea, I kicked the needle towards the door. Frosty spikes swiftly descended from the top of the doorway, blocking the small crystal's escape.
"Hey," I commented, "I didn't get stabbed. We're doing something right"
Fooruman stroked his beard contemplativelty. "I believe, Ms. Ken, that is simply because the gem was never seperated from its beloved floor or forcefully torn from its beloved room. Oh, the woe that must overcome a young popsicle to be seperated from its loving popsicle family."
Araches hesitated a moment. "I think he's more or less right, hon," she said, shrugging.
I considered what she was saying for a moment as I sat on the floor, bleeding. Perhaps due to blood loss, I suddenly got a brilliant idea. "Hey, everyone!" I exclaimed, "let's take off our pants!"
"I agree!" Uberbob shouted.
"Who is pants?" Fooruman asked.
Faw cocked his head. "Wait, what?"
"Our pants," I explained to the healer, "we can add them to Uberbob's pile of junk."
"Shuri, I'm going to heal you now." He placed his hands over my leg, calling forth a bright golden glow and healing my wounded leg. "We should try doing something intelligent, until you start to feel better again," he proposed.

That said, I have no idea what to do now. And for the record, we're in NE room now (needle + pyramid, upper right).

Ehrm, that black shape behind the ice could be something under water. The rooms are probably located under the sea level. I think you can reach that black shape by diving in the fountain and ending up under the ice rooms. Just an idea though...

Do what Cooba said. Then go West again and North. Now gently push the cube-shaped gem towards where the pyramid-shaped one is, then quickly set the pyramid on top of the cube. If nothing else, this should look pretty dang cool.

Later I think you should put those on top of eachother. It wouldn't do anything, but it would look like a little glass house.

Fawriel tried to help me up, but I pushed him away. I could limp fine on my own. I slapped the small crystal away from the doorway with the tip of my sword and the spikes retracted back into the ceiling. I lead the party back south to the deserted campsite.
"I think we're on the wrong track-" I began, but was cut off by Araches.
"You just noticed?"
I scowled at her, but continued. "We've been too preoccupied with the gems. Let's give the fountain another look. I don't see anything else we can do; all we CAN do is look harder."
We went west from the campsite until we were back at the fountain. The fountain room was considerably taller and wider than the others. In the center stood the fountain, its sides covered with symmetric, crystaline patterns. A glowing sphere attached to the top illuminated the room, its white light refracting off the clear water and the intrecate geometry of the fountain.
"Is there anything we're missing?" I asked, implying people should look around. "Uberbob," I added, wanting to keep him out of my hair, "go back and search the campsite. If you find anything dangerous looking, provoke it. And run into one of the gem rooms." The gray rabbit nodded, saluted, and skipped back to the campsite.
"That wasn't very nice," Leetzan commented.
"Shut it and look for clues."
Araches already seemed to have gained an interest in the fountain. She beckoned for Fooruman to lend her his canoe paddle, and thrust it down into the fountain. It went down about a foot before stopping. Araches pulled the paddle out and carefully felt it. Determining there was no danger, she stuck her hand into the water. "It feels like regular water," she concluded, "and it's heated. That's why it isn't freezing. Feels good after all this ice."
"You should wash those wounds off later, Shur," Faw said to me. He walked back to Araches. "Is the water drinkable?"
"We'll know as soon as Uberbob gets back," she responded.
"What about the light at the top?" I asked, directing their attention back on the fountain.
Araches took the paddle and hit the light hard. It made a loud noise, but didn't break or move. "It's connected."
Uberbob, who had just pranced in through the east door, heard this. "Aww. Then we'll have to FIND a way to disconnect it!" he said. Araches rolled her eyes.

"Uberbob, drink that water," I said, pointing to the fountain, "we want to see if it's... cherry flavored."
"Yay, cherries!" Uberbob said, dipping his hand into the watter and bringing it to his mouth. He frowned disappointedly. "Nope. Just regular hydrogen-oxygen salad.
"Maybe," Fooruman began, "given enough years of constant study, I could construct a MAGIC SPELL capable of TRANSMUTATING this ordinary water into CHERRY FLAVORED water... perhaps!"
"Er, that's okay. We might need water, depending how long we're down here." The archmage looked distressed. "Here, take these chips," I added to make him feel better.
He gleefully accepted the bag of chips. "Merci, Herr Shurismo! I shall cherish it and name it Chippy."
While Fooruman hugged the bag of chips, I knelt down by the fountain (my injured leg gave out halfway, but it didn't matter because I was going down anyway). While pretty, something about the patterns told me that they weren't important.
And Radium didn't feel like drawing a complex picture for one red herring.

Uh, it seems that the party been stuck here for about 4 months. Has this become normal for an Uberbob puzzle, or is it about time for a deus ex machina?

The PDA is broken, n00b.

I'm pretty sure that we're going to be stuck here awhile, acid. So far we haven't made much progress - all we've found is that we're not alone, and that the gems are dangerous but when stacked on top of each other look like glass houses.

It's more of a "deus deserit vos" (thanks Risp).

And @ Ae: The Foocanoe can't swim.

I took the generic foodbars out of my pack. I unwrapped one, broke off a piece, and handed it to Uberbob. "Uberbob, eat one of these. We need to see if they're... cherry flavored."
The rabbit happily took the piece and nibbled on its corner. "These are just regular food-flavored bars," he sighed.
"Fair enough," I said. I snapped the remaining piece of the bar in half and handed one to Araches and one to L33tz4n, then unwrapped the other bar, snapped it in thirds, and handed the pieces to Fooruman, Faw, and kept one for myself. "We may not get out of here for a while. If we eat, we can prolong our death from starvation," I explained while eating the Foodpiece. It tasted like something between water and bread. Pretty generic, in other words.
L33tz4n and Faw nodded grimly. Fooruman handed his piece back to me. "Thank you for your offer, sir, but alas, I do not eat food. Only conquest." I had long since learned that understanding Fooruman was an impossible feat, and accepted back the piece of the foodbar.
"Leetzan," I addressed, "do you think you could do anything with the PDA we found at the campsite?"
The serpent girl looked at the broken device and frowned. "I don't think so. It looks badly broken. I could try to do something with it, though."
I handed the PDA to her. "Do that. By the way, guys, I'm going to fill the sleeping bag with water in case we need water later and the fountain is gone." I'm not quite sure where that came from, but so many strange things happened lately that nobody was about to argue with my logic. As I opened up the sleeping bag, however, something heavy rolled out and landed on the ground. I picked it up. It was a angular crystal of some sort, appearing to be made of the same material as the walls or the crystals in the other rooms. I stuffed it in my pack with the other stuff.
The sleeping bag wasn't waterproof. It got very soggy.
