Wallace, you got an answer already. If you want usa to sign up so bad there are some active usa players you could contact.

That's your only alternative, really.

Edited.

But I'd appreciate it if more countries (US, UK) could find the potential to sign up (as planned)

Both US and UK have one, maybe two active players

Australia deserves a spot way more than them.

Eight teams. Sounds like this tourney is RTS. (Ready to start)

Nevertheless the other 3vs3 tourney which I host starts tomorrow. We could play these at the same time I guess.

I think it will be better to have first the 3vs3 Tourney (Sucer's one) and after it the National Tourney.
For example, I might not have enough time to play in both Tournaments at the same time. It's likely that I'm not alone with this problem.

@ NovaStar: ShadowRabbit is the nick of yours that has the highest reputation in this community, (though that doesn't say much)

@ Master Sven: You can be a backup for the NL, even if you don't get to play, you'll get a slight bit of credit for being available.

Yes, do that at once!
You've got 1-3 weeks depending on timing with countless factors that each could ruin or give a boost to this tourney...

Also... Here are some rules...

1. Every team will play (two) rounds against every other team. One so that the other team chooses the level and the other so that the other one does.

2. After these rounds are played (teams that don't have the slightest bit of enthusiasm to arrange games will be eliminated and treated like thrash)...
The four teams that have scored the highest will make the playoffs.
The rest will either be eliminated without further ado, (OR...
They'll play extra and the highest scoring team(s) will make it back into the playoffs.)

3. The playoffs will consist of random pairs out of the remaining four teams that will play best of 7 rounds, picking levels in turns. The last level will possibly be voted by the public (besides the teams that play).

4. The winners of both pairs will meet in a best of 5, 7 or 9 rounds finale and the winning team of that will be crowned the National Cup Champion.

More rules, likely reported in the near future!

Except it didn't make any sense at all, as I said that to Sasik. >_>
It's now quite clear that you're commenting my posts for the heck of it...
And at that, it's not me who's at fault.

And now on topic. Some general rules

-Soloing / bragging about what you've done yourself in this tourney is forbidden. Everything is to that end of your team and country. Not yourself.

-Putting down other players is forbidden. Even with reason.

-Teams may use 4 backups at will. More backups may play only one game.
(There might be a change to this, but so far, it's a rule)

-Teams that don't with or without reason even try to have their matches played will be eliminated eventually.

Maybe you should note that there is a difference between 3hks caused by getting hit, without it registering locally, and the (seemingly) inexplicable 3hks that sometimes occur anyway (it's also not that easy to shut up when you instantly lose 2 or 3 scores because of a 3hk). And did you create that rule about backups just to make the list longer and feel important? It seems to fill no function whatsoever, really.

Thing is that the people with less sportsmanship might lie about 3hks, claiming that every death they had while carrying the flag was a 3hk.

That's why that rule seemed thoughtless and thus was removed.

Even if that would happen, complaining doesn't hurt anyone but possibly the complainer (who gets chathit).

I don't know if I correctly understand this rule, but I do think that Sucer's 3v3 Tourney shows that arranging games only by participating teams doesn't work well. There should be made a shedule and the matches should be played in the weekend at hours set by "Supervisor" (or however you'll call yourself).
Moreover there are needed official hosts (I mean 'Cup Admins', like it was in JJ2WC).
About other rules, in my opinion, copying them from JJ2WC II (maybe with a few modifications) would be much enough.

Also, having a website, with news and results is really needed. Even simply one.

There are/(will be) supervisors. The rule means that if teams don't play scheduled games and keep saying that they can't (with or without reason) play, then there will be penalties and ultimately a disqualification.

This isn't JJ2WC II, this is The National Tournament. Although some rules might be carried over.

The tourney will start next weekend on the 6th of February.
If there's a change, I'll tell about it here.
The first pairings will be signed momentarily. Likely before wednesday.
Same goes for the final Mappool.

Remember:

-Each team will play two rounds against every other team.
One so that team A chooses the level and one so that team B does.
Both teams can choose the same level!

-Rounds will be to 5 or 10 (10 if there are disagreements between teams)
(Note! Both rounds to same limit!)
