Jazz Jackrabbit 2 World Championship - Everything is ready now! ;)

Everything is ready for JJ2WC now. You can visit the site by http://www.jj2wc.tk and get all the information you need. Remember to prepare your team for the match, and you got about one day to contact me and tell me if you can't play on that date.

You will have to contact me 30 minutes before every match and tell me that your team is ready and your home-map. I will get a host and moderate the match, or host it myself if I'm not lagged too much.

Good luck and have fun.

I'm really sceptical about this. I'm wondering if all matches will be played on the arranged time, and IF they will all be played at all.
Have fun, though.

got some flaming to do at the cup, especially about 1 rule:

Quote:
If a 3rd map needs to be played, a cup admin will pick it by his choice.
- Thats a very bad rule, admins can be biased about their fav teams and their fav maps.

You should have used a more of a voting system. That means if their is a situation that both teams are tied after 2 maps, then both clans choose a map they DON'T want to play and they keep on voting maps away till only one map is left. In your case however you have only 6 maps, you should have added 1 more map. Then this system could be used.

If clans selected the same map which they played on before (Rarely happens though, but could be the case) then the winner of the first map gets the preferance to start to select maps away.

Another solution is that the supervisor preselected all maps in the whole season including the play-offs. Small Example: Week 1: map Diamondus Warzone and BBLAIR. Week 2: BBLAIR and SBreach2... etc etc

anyhow a final flame to make is sad you haven't given me any credit to me about the rules, you've used them without any premission or what so ever.. I've made your building stones with that and you go away with the house. but that seems to happen often in JJ2 lately

Oh well, i wish you goodluck with the cup though, my jj2 members are talking my head off about it.

I gave you a credit, even more than one. You may find it in the previous thread (I am not sure, but look around)

About "If a 3rd map needs to be played, a cup admin will pick it by his choice", the cup admin can decide if he wants to make a map vote or he just wants to pick a map himself.

And it's too late to make big changes on the rules now. =P

Anyway, DM vs. GpW will be played in 19:00 and FoR vs. TF will be played in 20:00.

It's never to late to fix/change rules. Especially when it's stated in the rules self that it always could change. Anyhow this is a huge flaw in the rule...

A problem that I have discovered recently is that the players may not be able to play on certain dates so a decent number of team members should agree to a certain date before the CW actually takes place - I cannot play on the given date against BC. No offense at all but this match is not that much of a big deal because it should be a walk-over but against tougher clans dates have to be agreed on.

Agreed. TF had to use its wildcard (or whatever) thing for the first match already because the only people who would maybe be there on the first date were Unfish and Dal. Not even a full team, despite the fact that we have about 6 or 7 sort of active people to form teams with.

It's just that, if this happens again now... losing by walkover = not fun. Neither is winning by walkover.

You know. With the match originally being scheduled on Wednesday where almost no TFs were able to make it, so we had to ask Rep to move it to Saturday, remember? According to some place in the big rulebook, we can only ask to move a game once, or something like that.

No, you didn't use it. I let people change the date without using the wildcard 3 days after I actually set it. You can still use the wildcard...
Anyway, the wildcard is used when there are no enough available players for any team and they don't want to get a technical loss.

Haha @ Enigma

By the way, JSZ vs. VS. Today at 20:00 GMT.
You will have to join the pregame server at least 30 minutes before the match begins. Remember.

It's going to be one of the most exciting matches JJ2 has ever had, I think. The best polish clans will face each other and the winner will get a lot of honour.

Hate @ walkovers. I sure hope things work out a bit more smoothly tomorrow, even if we would lose, playing against FoR should be pretty awesome.
