An another contest, far far simplier than always. Edit Battle1 in most imaginative way you could ever think of. The rules are :

• Only JJ2 levels allowed. (duh)
• No TSF.
• You must change at least two things in gameplay, like deleting shield or changing seeker PU to RF PU instead (just a few examples).
• You haven't to change tileset, but if you desperately dislike Castle, feel free to use something else.
• The secret room at upper right corner *MUST* stay.

September 18 6:00 PM GMT+1 is the deadline. No exceptions.

All the entries must be send by an e-mail or be hosted on your own website. Entries uploaded to Jazz2Online *won't* be accepted.

A prize? If being the edit hosted with the losing ones too on my server during some time count as prize for you, then.

EDIT : Prior edits are accepted, too.

EDIT 2 : The rule of using two other layers has been deleted because most people didn't want to enter because using two more layers is a requirement (R3p in particular).

What do you mean by "use two other layers"? And do entries have to be made specifically for the contest, or are prior edits acceptable?

I wanted to edit B1, but I won't because I'm not gonna change anything related the eyecandy. Too bad. May I will make something for fun, though.

Yeah, I'm working on an edit, too. However, I'm using a different tileset, and I've only converted half of the level over to the new tileset so far, so it will take a bit of time. :P

I think i'll participate in this contest too.. i already know which tileset ill use, and how ill edit.

Okay, I have a question.

Can I edit the level a bit so that, for example, a platform that is 1 tile thick would be 2? And what about connecting the two parts hanging from the ceiling that have red springs (At 86, 59) on them to form one (Tileset restrictions)?

Sure. You can do anything you want/must do. You can even remove those pillars. You can do lot of stuffness with your edit! Creativity is always welcome.

• This remake, is in fact JJ2 level.
• It's 1.23.
• Seeker PU has been moved to the coin warp, so did the shield. The balcony where seeker PU previously was has been deleted, and the big wall has been enshortened. (sp?) I put some stuff there. Also, you will notice that seekers go through the purple tubes below that area and whatnot.
• Tileset changed to Labrat.
• Secret room is edited to actually serve its purpose with more convinience. Those powerups there are not deleted, and that's actually what I meant.

There. Prior edit, though I changed it a little bit just now for a few things like putting the secret room back in. It's not the best.

Cooba: When I've tried to download your file, it just says that my security settings don't allow it to be downloaded.

UR: Quite an interesting level you have there. It seems as though you have changed to much, that it's barely recognizable (Although it still is). :P About those flags, is that incase someone wants to host CTF instead of Battle? Just wondering.

Uh, did you see the level name? It's a CTF version of Battle1.

That's a good idea, but Cooba wanted to host ALL the levels together with the winner which is impossible now.

I'm completely finished with the conversion to another tileset and started making edits.

I got it to download. Apparently, my anti-spyware software added an entry under restricted sites for freewebs.com. I had to temporarily change the settings for IE to download it.
