Art Battle [Round 1] Prism Cat VS The Face of god

Birdie - The Face of godVS Hareoic - Prism Cat

The rules are simple. The contestants choose who goes first, then fight, trading "punches." Upload your punch within a week of the last punch, or you forfeit and the other contestant wins. Four punches total, two each. Everyone else votes for who they think should win the fight.

Good luck contestants, may the best crowd pleaser win.

Indeed.

Prism cat better have a good trick up it's sleeve, or it may lose to the versatility a character like Face of God has in attacks.

Yes, he can also call down the wrath of the sun itself without having to magnify it through his body. Usually reserved for clearing away armies.

And I'm just getting started.

(just so you know, prism cats are protected by crystal-like fur with a very unique body structure that is also composed of crystal. in other words, the spike wasn't THAT effective, but it did really hurt, which really ticked him off)

In other words, blunt force for the win.

Wait, no poll?

My vote goes to Hareoic, because I somewhat prefer the concept of his character. The face of god is interesting, too, but I have to decide.

I'll have to go FoG on this. Mr. Crystalkitten was an interesting concept, but shooting beams of light is no match for an angry morphing box with a face.

Though I rather like the first panel of Gen's second punch.

Face of God gets my vote this time. His first attack was just awesome, while Prism Cat's two attacks were basicly the same.

I'd have to say Face of God also. His attacks were cooler, although I didn't like his concept as much.

Beams of light that are magnified to inflict intense heat. It's essentially like a magnifying lense on a summer day. Except it's bigger and much more precise, since cats are well known for their reflexes and eyesight.

And as I mentioned before, I haven't released its full potential yet. This is only the first round. I have some much more effective and interesting plans for future battles, believe me. Shapeshifting is scary, but not worth going all out against, since I don't want to reveal my hand just yet.

I've already planned at least twenty different attacks, just so you know, each one unique in its own way. And I'm not stopping until I've come up with at least fifty. So I'll have a vast arsenal of attacks to deal with any possible foes in the most effective way possible by exploiting whatever weak points they have.

VOTE PRISM CAT

Why were you holding back? Did you have the hubris to assume that you would make an effortless win in the first round? If so, your strategy seems a bit flawed.

No, because if I used my best strategies then there wouldn't be anything good or flashy left to please the crowd and harm my opponents as well. It wasn't until the second part of the fight that I decided to come up with more ways to fight, anyway, so things are only going to get better and much more destructive from here on out.

Never thought a cat could do that, did you? Well now you know better.

Is it me, or have none of the other battles save one even started their counterattacks?

Pfft. You don't win a match through promising that you'll do better. This isn't some tournament in a TV show or video game or something where your opponents start out weak and get progressively harder. You have to constantly give your all. If you use your best trick, then think of a new one! You aren't going to win by using your worst stuff first; in fact, it has appeared you have lost because of it.

Well I didn't even know what my opponent was. Mine was obviously some kind of cat, that much is pretty much all that you need to know. But the face of god, I just assumed it was some kind of computer monitor. How can I fight something like that when I don't even know what I'm drawing? Is it a box? Is it a frame? How does it look in three dimensions? What does it do?

(and if you say I never showed what mine did, I had an animation for that)

Besides, if I constantly gave it my all, it'd probably be the same attack over and over again. I ADAPT. I'm FLEXIBLE. And I have a cat that could probably destroy civilization on a whim. What more do you want?

It's the first round. I wasn't even entirely aware of how everything worked. And I'm pretty sure I'm still making mistakes.

I dunno, I just didn't know what he was capable of. He didn't give a description of his character or anything. I just assumed it was a computer.

If anything, we should have a rematch since we both know what we're capable of and we didn't know much about the other's character at the beginning of the battle.
