Chapter 1: Pathway to the Gods

“Ducky! You better come over here and take a look at this stone!” the shout rang across the dune. “Coming” Ducky began to run across the hot sand of the dune, not bothering to wince as the host sand burned the bottom of her paws.



As if she suddenly hit an invisible wall in the desert sand, ducky stopped. She stared in complete awe at the object that lay before her. “It’s a cover stone! A real cover stone!”



Slowly ducky edged her paw towards the stone and dusted off the sand that lay on the first set of letters. With a heavy Diamondus accent Ducky read aloud the only sentence on the cover stone in a language forgotten to the rabbits: Egyptian. “The travel device of the gods. The Stargate. I alone can harness its power. I am Ra.



Meanwhile on the planet of Abydos…Shau’ri kissed her husband passionately on the lips. “Dan-Yur? Are we truly safe from Ra? I have seen Skaara take after our hero’s, yet what if there are more like Ra? The time that you leave us they will take Abydos from us, and take me from you”



“They will never take me from you, I shall never leave Abydos. If anything were to happen O’Neil will contact me. I don’t know about Ra, after I saw Hathor…I am no longer sure. Shau’ri? Are you asleep?” Shau’ri moaned to show Daniel that she was awake. Daniel lay beside her and placed his head on her shoulder. He fell into a quiet sleep knowing that his loving wife was by his side.



“Colonel Jack O’Neil? General West will see you now” O’Neil walked by the young soldier without commenting. He noticed that this soldier was fresh out of training and cocky too.



“Colonel O’Neil? At ease soldier” “As you know it has been 6 months since we established contact with the planet of Abydos. I want you and a team to establish contact with Abydos and make sure that none of Ra’s forces are within the perimeter of Nagada”

“Yes Sir!”



Silently O’Neil walked towards the missile silo that housed the Stargate. He could already hear the musical whir that gave the machine its wonder. As he entered the door he found his team already waiting for him.



Slowly and proficiently armed the team approached the stargate and walked through the gravity defying silver liquid. O’Neil emerged into the familiar docking pyramid that housed the Stargate on Abydos. “Let’s rest for tonight. Tomorrow we head out for Nagada”



Ducky slowly watched as the last of the “Stargate” was pulled from the ground. “Not let’s see how this works. According to the cover stone I should turn the wheels according to the signs on the stone. Like typing an IP address on a computer. Someone get me a ladder!”



Within minutes Ducky was on the ladder turning the wheels. To her surprise she was thrown backwards as the machine began to activate. A Gravity defying silver liquid filled the center of the ring. Suddenly someone tapped Ducky on the back. “I’m sending a few rabbits with you. You will all be equipped with laser blasters. Now go.”



Ducky and her team went through the device and emerged on a planet unfamiliar to them, facing a species she had never seen. Suddenly they began to fire on her and her team without warning.



“JEZZES! Ra is back!” Kawalsky screamed to O’Neil as he dodged one of the energy blasts. “I don’t think so soldier. These are guns and don’t use the quartz we are used to seeing. HOLD YOUR FIRE MEN! HOLD YOUR FIRE!” O’Neil Screamed at his soldiers.

Chapter 2: You’ve got some explaining to do

“Who are you? What species are you? What are you doing coming through the stargate?” O’Neil said. “I am Ducky and this is my team of-Um-Who are you people anyway?”



“I am Slayer, Personal assistant to Lord Jazz Jackrabbit himself. I know much about you ducky. These people are my men and Unit 1 of the Diamondous Army. We were sent to protect you in case there was anything hostile on the other side of the device you uncovered”



O’Neil practically burst out laughing when he heard what Slayer had said. “Device? You sound like the United States army when Daniel Jackson started to study the Stargate. Please call me Jack.”



“Jack, There is much to report to my king about your kind. You seem like us yet you are more upright, what is the name of your species?”



“We are human, we come from planet earth on the other side of the Stargate. What about you?”



“We come from the planet of Carrotus. As far as we know our species are derived from the rabbit: an animal which grows on our planet” Ducky said



“Rabbits? We got those on earth” came the sarcastic comment from one of the soldiers O’Neil could not recognize in the darkness of the pyramid entrance hall.



Skaara came running into the village. “There are people near the Stargate!” Hearing Skaara’s call Daniel Jackson leaped out of bed and ran towards the gate entrance. Mounting the mastadge’s the militia headed out towards the Stargate Pyramid.



Arriving at the Stargate Pyramid the militia armed themselves with energy rifles and the rifles that the Americans had brought with them through the Stargate. Slowly they entered the pyramid. Without taking notice to who was in the Stargate Room the militia opened fire.



When Daniel saw who it was he yelled “Takri! Takri! Hold your fire!”



“That any way to greet us Jackson? After all we killed Ra”



“O’Neil? You got a lot of explaining to do”



Meanwhile on the edge of the planet of Abydos, “Pick it up you Horus Guards or I shall have you duel to become Anubis!”



The Horus Guards slowly raised the wreckage of Ra’s floating Yacht. Using their Blast Lances to blast away at the rubble, they eventually came to Ra’s Severed carcass. “Get him to Ra’s Eye”



The Horus guards on command carried Ra’s body to the transport medallion and they were lifted into the spacecraft. They slowly placed Ra in the only remaining Tomb of Healing left in the kingdom.



“Soon you shall live, my lord Ra”

sorry it's been so long...i just read Stargate: Retaliation and will gibe you a basic outline of where this story would have taken place in the series.



It takes place after Stargate Rebellion when the people of Abydos still control Hathor's Ship: Ra's Eye. Hathor has come to look for Ra and has found him...and the story continues
