Improvement.
Hello all. I used to play JJ2 quite a lot a few years ago. Then I tried to play it online. wasn't any fun though since all the levels were badly custom-made that you had to be the creator to know how to find your way through the awful tileset and the maze of invisible warps. I've now returned a few years later and find that the levels have improved drastically. I'm now Slugbreath instead of my old nick (Freedoom) and I'll try to play when I have the time.
I just wanted to say thanks for making better levels than all those years ago. |

I'm not sure I remember you, but welcome back anyways.
The community definitely is producing much better levels, programs, and is a lot more - err - calm than back in the JMMB days. Good to see an oldie around!

I'm not that old to remember you, but welcome back. Levels with invisible warps? That were Tests I think. That's a custom game type. :-P

Whoa. I'm not sure I've ever found that particular site in my searchings. Weird.
Welcome back, anyway. Glad you approve of the community. |

Hey, welcome back, I don't remember you, but oh well, if you remember a "Tublear"....then you know me.
I guess I would sort of be included in that statistic of great levels in the later years.

Thanks for all the replies! Not so thanks Hyarion for bringing that old homepage back again...
Hehe, anyway. Hmm, seems like I called myself Slugbreath back then too. I guess that I switched earlier than I thought but I am quite sure that I called myself Freedoom too. Er, never mind. It's good to be back anyway. And by invisible warps I mean the kind that aren't in an obvious place. What I'm trying to say is that the levels back then (part from mine and Benjo's ) were compact warp mazes made in ugly tilesets that only the person who made the level could understand thus leaving the rest of the players randomly warping around. As I said, I'm glad to see that the levels now have improved. I'll play when I have time but I don't have TSF... |
