Which JJ2 Weapon SUCKS?

Before you start complaining about this, I just want to say that I searched the Forum to see if there was a thread like this. There was one in 2001 so I thought it's probably a bit late to post in there.

I think the Pepper Spray sucks coz it doesn't do much damage and it is not very accurate. Even the Power-Up of the PS doesn't make it any better.

Note: You can choose more than 1 option.

TNT because using its 3hk in BBLair is the cheapest tactic ever.

I don't like Freezer. They suck in battle and most race levels I don't even use it. Only in Foo Races, but that's more like forcing to use stupid weapons (freezing springs).

Freezer is pretty excellent in battle actually. If you're low on health, and don't have better ammo, how else are you going to safely evade your opponents to get to that carrot?

It doesn't help for me atleast then :P They always get unfrozen half a second after, which just isn't enough time.

I've never really liked the freezer.

Except when you're just messing around and not really fighting or anything.

Electro Blaster for me. It has its uses tactically, but it always feels easy to dodge or easy to miss with.

TNT. Freezer and Electro Blaster are both fairly useful in a number of situations, but unless the other player is gaming with their feet (and their name is not Ethan MacManus) there's little chance you'll actually hit them.

I would say both freezer and tnt find little use for me. In MP, freezers do not seem to have any effect (Hammer the spacebar a few times and you break free) and in SP, you have to buttstomp or shoot the enimie before it's gone for good. I notice you can shatter frozen stuff by running into them, but if it's a baddie, you will get hurt.

TNT is useless in MP because it simply does not do any damage. it's use in SP is limited to blowing blocks, and thanks to it's spontainious "Blowing", does not make an effective combat weapon.

One weapon that I also dislike (but use it anyway) is the RF missile. It does not use rapid fire, which is annoying, but the blast throwback is downright frustrating. This is the weapon I raced around with in JJ1 mindlessly fireing away in close corridors? Hmmmmm....

On the good side, The powered up RF's actually helps in SP for taking care of Tuf Turtles.

The eletroblaster had the potential to be an interesting weapon, but it lacks range and power.

The Pepper isn't that great, and the RF missles' recoil blast is very annoying. I like ti use the E-Blaster when can I hit stuff through walls. =D

My favorites by far at the Toaster, Missle Launcher and a fully fastfired and/or poweredup Blaster.

It's very effective in SP, have you used it against Devil Devan? It's a genious strategy.
Same strategy works with Fooruman in FSP.

Yeah, but two successes don't make up for its many faliures. I liked the Jazz 1 TNT, full screen damage, no blow back and instant detonation.

I'm not much of a fan of the Freezer. In multiplayer, the effect doesn't last long enough to be practical. In single player, let's be honest, in the time it would take to switch to the Freezer, freeze the monster, switch to another weapon, and kill the monster, you probably could have killed the enemy without bothering with the Freezer. Most enemies only take one to three hits, anyway.

That is so true. Freezing enemies with it is useless. The only thing I use the Freezer for is on Springs. I don't use it for anything else. I mostly use the Blaster. I sometimes use other weapons if they are needed.

Agreed. I have won many Races against my friends by freezing them though.

Pepper Spray and Electro Blasters get my thumbs down. PS isn't very accurate, nor powerful. EBs are easily to dodge, for me that is.

Pepper spray is a nice alternative for rfs when used for chasing. They don't annouce your presense with loud booms and it's hard to see which makes it fun to see people whine 'lag hit!' when they get killed by it.

Electro's not so much a weapon for face-to-face combat as much as it's for nailing things like powerups or unsuspecting people through walls. Of course, modern levels, with their fancy-schmancy Electro-proof walls, make this less easy to exploit.

The possitives and the not so great

I think the TNT is useless in multiplayer because it is very unlikly to roast someone unless they are trying to kill you. However, since the AI of enemies in SP aren't too intellengent the TNT can be effective against them. The freezer is useless in some ways such as killing. But when it comes to anoyying your opponents or sometimes getting away quickly enough it is quite a good... well utility because it shouldn't really be considered a weapon.
The freezer is also effective against enemies like above.

Conclusion: TNT should not be used as weapons but for certain other occasions.

Freezer is one of my favourite weapons . It is most useful in treasure as well as in battle. In treasure, I always use freezers. One can freeze his enemies and buttstomp them in order to collect his gems. Have you noticed treasure noobs waiting you at the end? Freezers can quickly make them frozen, so one can reach the end without being shot. In battle... In battle it can be used for buttstomping players while they are frozen or even shooting them. It is really annoying if you freeze someone, shoot him and run away.

According to me, TNT and PepperSpray are the most useless weapons.

I would say a good player could use just one weapon rather than having to rely on all the weapons they had. I often play to use only the blaster wherever possible, just because I can.

I have 2 questions :

1. A TNT exploded next to me and it took me one heart. So, does it mean that the TNT is not soo useless?

2. What's the difference between ElectoBlaster (not poweredup) and the powered up electoblaster?

On the SP freezer issue:
Let's face it, if you're using the freezer in SP, you're just using it to avoid enemies because you're low on health and ammo.

TNT hurts you in MP only when you're standing still, but not when you're moving. I don't know about Electroblaster, the powerup either doesn't do anything at all or increases the range.

I must admit, the freezer was the only weapon I hardly used while playing Blacky's new SP level. It's best for creating puzzle situations in SP, I guess.

Among other things, the freezer is useful for race, ground force, spike bolls, spinning platforms, flying enemies you wish to use as platforms, collapsing scenery, pushing crates, bosses (particularly the robot), freezing springs, gem rings, rotating rocks...

(As for Fooruman in FSP, you shouldn't really have TNT, so I can't comment on strategies involving it.)
