Wolf Wolf Bo Bolf Banana Fana Fo Folf

Que Passa!!!!

I need help with naming a one shot character(Aka one who's going to be in only one story.)
Here's the character
She's a wolf who Weasel falls in love with in a story I'm working on called "Lupin for Love". The thing is while most of my characters species have specific systems for names (Bats are named after their personality, Dingos have an Egyptian theme ,Sloths are named after states of concousness, Foxes are named after famous peoples first and last names mixed, Gargoyals are given 3-4 letter first names that sound like random words and phrases, Rabbits/Hares are named after modes of transportation etc.) I've never designed one for wolves.

Anyone got any ideas? Currently, I'm working with the name Delphia Lychan, but I'd probably like something better.

Whattabout... LUPIN?

Hey- HEY! Put the knife down! I was kidding! O_O;;

Alright...
You could name wolves...wolves... *pokes his head*
Uhm... since wolves seem to be able to rise from the dead...
Life and death form a circle, so you could name wolves after.. mathematical terms or mathematicians?

Or since wolves are associated with the moon, you could use astronomical terms...

That's my two suggestion-cents.

You could name them after .. *thinks*
Killing devices? Names of stars? Weapons? Light sources? Mountains? Cities? Bizarre African/South American countries? Cheese?

Now THAT'S cute, Batty. Most impressive indeed!

As for the name, you want something BETTER than Delphia? That's a name I wish I came up with, honestly. :-)

Names:

The Cuteness
Snuggly Bumkins
Fuzzy Wuzzy Wufkins
Fluff Bomb
the ..Uh... Doggy.
or just plain "DOGGY!!!"

*chuckles* Of course, I'm not taking this seriously, so I don't expect you to take these suggestions seriously either.

Hmm, Toca is named after a Techno song. Maybe Wolves could be named after songs or musicians?

Like say, you could name a wolf "Duran". (Duran Duran made the song, "Hungry Like a Wolf")

Cress ... something. Cres(s)cent moon I guess.

Maybe you could do the first syllable of things that are associated with wolves.

Wow. Thanks you all. Heck, not only is this giving me options, it's helping me come up with stuff for other species(I've desided to do the star thing with Sunbears... they're my favorite types of bears to draw- they're black bears with a sun-shaped mark around their necks if you've never seen them...)

I gotta print out what I got so far and give it a once over.

RSPSS, you'd have to be a little more creative than that... and less stereotypical... but yeah, bad idea.

Maybe just go a traditional way and select a country/language origin, gather the words, and just take their syllables.

Of course I was stereotypical. You called for things people associate with wolves, and stereotypes are by definition things people think of something. If I was less stereotypical I would be saying things people don't associate with wolves.

If we had a picture and/or a more in-depth personality sheet, this would be a HAIL of a lot more easier.
