Featured Download
March April
Okay I know it’s late Yeah, a double feature, big woop
Mt. Helens by
SuperJazz
RollerCoaster Park by Moonblaze
A volcano themed Capture the Flag map, something that has been attempted several times but never pulled off to such a high standard, until now… Mt. Helens brings you a totally new layout and some fresh gameplay. The background speaks for itself, as shown in the picture.

Superjazz brings us an extremely high-quality level in a common set, yet the appearance is totally new. Don’t miss this opportunity to download the level NOW.
MoonBlaze strikes again with his newest tileset, with an exhilleratingly new possibilities and again, a tremendous new theme. Rollercoaster Park is not only very easy to use, it’s amongst the best in any tileset list.

Download this set now if you haven’t done so already.

Personally I liked mystic mines more than rollercoaster park. Moonblaze’s set looks good, but it also is rather limited in what you can do with it. All you really have is some ground tiles and some basic roller coaster tiles (which actually looks more like a slide). And a pretty background. No other theme park related stuff.

I disagree with EM about rcpark. Go dl the set and view it. It’s not a slide. [though I DO agree with you there, it’s hard to tell.]
I think Temperature [Faw’s remix] should’ve had April.

lolwut. it wasn’t that awesome. the rating isn’t really XTREME high either. it’s a bit repetive. but i got some luck building it there. i did place everything by myself. but did you ever imagine how long this took me to make :P?

I’m no active JCS user so I couldn’t judge about the quality of the set. Though I do know that the release of a good tileset is pretty rare these days.. I agree with the choice for Mt Helens btw, I’ve played it a few times in one of the public servers (thought it was Zeal’s) and found the design to be smooth in both gameplay and eyecandy (lol plus the bgackground).

If you have any suggestions as to what tiles you feel the tileset lacks, you can send me a private message and I can throw the tileset an update like my previous had.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell what makes a good tileset when you’re not much of a level creator yourself.

i think the most important is be able to create big structures which can be ceiling horizontal diagonal vertical or as ground. i mean in any way. the thing is that the rollercoaster can’t be a floating platform if you want keeping it realistic. the bushes can’t hang on the platforms somewhere above. i think it needs more things per layer like cave tiles or something. there aren’t much possibilities with the backgruond either. there are many details per tile and you can’t make your own structure in it or blacktile the background. there is also lack of things you can put in walls. there is only one kind of ground tile. there is also lack of variation. i mean.. you can add objects like circus tents or something. but the structure will be the same in every level made with the set. just like the rollercoaster.
