Power-Up

In Jazz Jackrabbit 2, a Power-Up is a pickup that, when it is collected, upgrade your weapon.

Power-Ups can give ammo to the player:
  • if you shoot a Power-Up and already had your weapon upgraded or hadn’t collected any ammo of it, you get an extra 20 ammo;
  • if you buttstomp a Power-Up, you get an extra 25 ammo;
  • if you kick or uppercut a Power-Up, you get and extra 50 ammo.

In single player, you can get over 99 ammo by shooting Power-Ups. However, if you collect any ammo of the type that you have over 99 of, you’ll revert back to 99 ammo.

All weapons have Power-Ups except the TNT weapon. Also, the first six upgraded weapons deal 2 damage as opposed to 1; the Electro Blaster and the Pepper Spray weapons will still only deal 1 damage when upgraded.
